What makes an environment truly safe for children and adolescents?
This is the question explored in the first “awareness drop” released by Tratu on+, a series of five audiovisual pieces designed to encourage reflection on the protection, wellbeing and participation of children and adolescents.
The video invites viewers to look at everyday environments —schools, leisure organisations, sports facilities, health services and communities— from a different perspective: that of the children and adolescents who experience them. Through a reflection on safeguarding and the prevention of violence, it highlights the importance of identifying situations that may go unnoticed simply because they have become part of everyday normality.
One of the central messages of the video is the need to actively listen to children and adolescents in order to better understand how they experience the environments we share and what conditions help them feel safe. Their perspectives provide valuable insights that can improve safeguarding practices and contribute to creating more respectful, inclusive and protective environments.

In line with the objectives of Tratu on+, the series seeks to strengthen safeguarding and protection ecosystems by promoting a preventive culture based on listening, participation and shared responsibility.
